A girl was taken to hospital with multiple injuries after being attacked by a group of adults while on a bus ride in Darwin.
The 12-year-old boy was traveling on bus No. 4 from the suburb of Parapi to the Casuarina shopping center at the time of the attack at around 6pm on Sunday.
According to Northern Territory police, a girl who was traveling with a friend was approached by a woman and assaulted.

The victim then got off the bus at the mall and two other adults were involved, who allegedly assaulted him before fleeing the scene.
“It was disgusting and cowardly,” Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Andrew Kren said Tuesday.

Transit security officers came to the girl’s aid and she was taken by the family to the Royal Darwin Hospital.
He suffered several lacerations and bruises on his body.
Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact their local police station.
